What is Paragard IUD ?
A non-hormonal birth control device. The T-shaped copper wired device that inserts into the uterus to prevent pregnancyTeva Pharmaceuticals is the maker of Paragard IUD.
Perforation: Hole formation through the uterine wall.
Infection: A rare side effect of IUD which can scar the tissue by reaching the pelvis or uterus. This can also cause fertility problems
Cervical cancer – Women over 30 can develop Cervical cancer, but it is also linked to having this cancer due to the usage of talcum powder as the entry of particles is possible to enter through the vagina.
Prostate cancer – studies showed a potential link between asbestos exposure and Prostate cancer like 1993 Danish study tested workers at an asbestos cement factory for their exposure to asbestos.
